Burlington Beer Company is a new dog on the block as of May of 2014, but you'd never guess it from the sharp, clean, and well established look of their bottles and quality of their brews. We had a chance to catch up with Joe Lemnah, founder and head brewer of Burlington Beer Company. It is worth noting that the company is owned completely by family and friends, keeping that small town vibe and friendly open atmosphere at the brewery.
The brewery takes on the feeling of an uber-clean, industrial warehouse (in only the coolest way possible). They are running 5 tanks as of right now, but they have a layout to expand to 12 brewing tanks, which means they have their eyes set on a much bigger piece of the craft beer pie... MMMmmm.... pie.
Burlington Beer Company has a very cool concept that is new to Two Brews. A members club. That's right, not only can people enjoy the fine brews of Burlington Beer Company, but people can sign up to become a member to get access to very exclusive, limited runs of craft beer. For example, while recording the interview, Joe was brewing March's members release called "Chunky", a Maple Peanut Butter Porter, and we can't wait! Do note, that the members drive for 2015 is already over. 2016 member registration opens later this year.
During our visit, it became immediately apparent that business is booming. We base that on the steady stream of customers during all hours of operation open to the public. In the short time we were there for the interview, we saw at least 3 or 4 dozen patrons sipping back suds and making growler purchases. A great atmosphere for a great brewery.
