Meet Jamie and Allen, the brewers behind the beer of Lost Nation. Two very cool dudes that both know their chops and clearly bring art to their beer. From the Gose to the Pitch Black, the beer spectrum is covered and on tap, ready for immediate enjoyment.
Lost Nation Brewing has a capacity to brew 20 barrels at a time. When we arrived, they were finishing cleaning up from brewing a fresh batch of Gose, their flagship beer. Jamie and Allen take inspiration from lesser known European style beers, combining that with their knowledge and influence of the Green Mountains, you end up getting something truly unique.
They are also bottling a selection of their brews; with examples such as their Gose and Lamoille Bretta (a spin on their Saison Lamoille, refermented with brettanomyces). They have intent to produce Gose in cans by late May, Lost Nation is finding their way into stores everywhere.
We can't forget that the brewery is only half the magic at Lost Nation. They have an amazing taproom with a rotating menu of fantastic foods to choose from. Thursday nights are slider nights, the night we recorded the interview. It is easy to say the combination of their food and beer can be summed up in one word, perfection.
While enjoying your food and brew, make sure you get yourself something to take home with you. Lost Nation has the coolest growler station and the benefits are plenty. Amazing beer from the tap to your fridge, and you get to watch the counter-pressure growler fill station. Looking like something out of a sci-fi movie, using Co2 purge, these growlers can keep your beer fresh over a month, easy.
