It was a pleasure to sit down with Matt Cohen, owner
and head brewer at Shelburne Vermont’s Fiddlehead Brewing Company to
talk about all things beer, the business of beer, and his career in the
industry.
Matt’s number one goal and philosophy is to brew well balanced,
drinkable, good beer.
The Fiddlehead taproom is open every day of the
week for visitors to taste what’s on tap, fill growlers, and shop for
Fiddlehead merchandise and other local products. Right next door is
Folino's Wood Fired Pizza serving rustic Neapolitan style pizza. It’s
BYOB, so fill a growler at Fiddlehead and you will be set for the
evening.
At the Fiddlehead taproom you will usually find a
pair of beers to sample and take home in growlers or half growlers. They
also can occasionally, so keep an eye on their Facebook page and
website. Can release day is an event at Fiddlehead, and they always
sell out within an hour or less of opening, so if you want to take some
home, plan ahead and arrive early!
Fiddlehead brew can be found on tap throughout
Vermont, so keep your eyes open and be sure to stop by for a growler and
pizza next time you are in Shelburne.
